Who bestirs this earth, and the Yama realm with its gods? Who sets out the well-taught word of truth, as an expert a flower?
概要
美しい花の比喩を通じて、人生の無常と善行の価値を詩情豊かに描くこの章は、ダンマパダの中でもとりわけ文学的な魅力にあふれています。花が萎れるように肉体は滅びても、善き行いの香りは風に逆らってでも広がるのです。

So too, among those thought of as trash, a disciple of the perfect Buddha outshines with their wisdom the blind ordinary folk.
